Juventus star Pogba to sign new deal until 2018

Juventus have reached an agreement with French starlet Paul Pogba over a new contract lasting until the summer of 2018, with the midfielder expected to sign the deal in the coming weeks.

Pogba’s current contract with the Serie A champions runs until June 2016, but Juve were keen to open renewal talks as a number of big clubs – including Real Madrid – have showed an interest in signing the youngster following his impressive debut season in Italy.

The 20-year-old has revealed his ambitions at the Bianconeri, insisting he would love to emulate former Juve star Zinedine Zidane’s success at the club.

The former Manchester United midfielder, who left for Turin on a free transfer in 2012, made 27 league appearances for Juve last term, netting five goals to help them to the Serie A title.

Since the turn of the year, Pogba has also captained his country to victory in the summer’s Un der-20 World Cup and made his full international debut with France’s senior side.
