Red Sox top Orioles in slugfest

Jack Kennedy, Colin Ryan and Matt Schiener each had four hits, leading the Reflections Dermatology Red Sox boys and girls baseball team past the Auburn Fire Department Orioles, 17-15, on Saturday.

Kylie Guarino, Michael Ambroggio, Carter Mizro, Connor Barrigar, Steven Ambroggio and Mara Stanton all had three hits. Will Elkovich and Connor Wilde each added a hit.

David Freeman, Nicholas Trumbull and Jayden Czubat all had three hits for the Orioles.

Keera Lynn, Axel Lepak, Ella Galloway, Sean Lenton, Chad Burnett-Allen, Rowan DeLong, Elliot Hares, Paul Lynn and Noah Heidrick each added a hit.

Auburn Police Dept. Yankees 11, Children’s Health Specialists 10: The Yankees were led by Emma Sroka, Canyon Renslow and Carson Bona. Tony Borges and Travis Mendez combined for five runs, while Noah Conley hit a home run.

The Marlins offense was led by Jacob Mott, who had a triple and three RBI. Dominic Currier and Landon Fornone contributed two runs and two hits each. Ella Noble, Kameron Buchanan, Austin Ferrin, Catherine Ciampi, Jacob Besner and Kyle Driscoll all had hits.

Empire Hardware Indians 11, Majorpalooza Pirates 10: Finley Hogan scored the winning run for the Indians.

Makayla Cottell, Ella Tucker, Sam Baier, Angelo Carter and Connor Fedigan led the Indians at the plate, and Josh Bryant added a pair of doubles.

Nora Soloman had five hits and four runs scored for the Pirates. Sam Moskov had four singles, while Abby Carr, Sam Carr, Maddison Lowe and Luke Moskov each had several singles.

Auburn Arsenal Soccer – World Cup Division

Italy 2, USA 0: Katelyn Montone and Ella Doan scored for Italy.

Abby Marinelli and Abbie Izzo each recorded an assist.

Spain 2, Australia 0: Amelia Bartolotta scored both of Spain’s goals.

Kate Scanlan registered an assist.

Auburn Arsenal S occer – College Division

Le Moyne 3, Syracuse 1: Lexi Alberici scored twice and Sydney Marinelli scored once for Le Moyne.

Grace Oliver scored the lone Syracuse goal on a feed from Natalie Bello-Woodcock.

St. John Fisher 6, Duke 0: Bryn Whitman and Rylee Hastings each scored twice, while Emma Bingham had a goal and an assist for St. John Fisher.

Nicholeen Hoskins rounded out the scoring, while Peyton Maneri, Rebecca Pesarchick, Taylor Sockmyer, Tracey Stewart and Jenna Roeschlaub each had one assist.

UConn 3, Cortland 0: Madelyn Bona scored twice and Emma Hastings added a goal and an assist to lead UConn.

Lauren Lowe chipped in an assist.

Girls Fastpitch

Auburn 4, Oswego 3: Marley Plish fanned five and gave up five hits in the win, in the Port City 14U Tournament. Chloe Calhoun had the game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh, in addition to a solo home run.Olivia Amoia had two hits and scored the winning run, while Maddie Herbert, Alexis Bashta, Sydney Wilson, Carly Vatter and Sydney Merkley each had a hit.

Auburn 13, Fayetteville-Manlius 2: Olivia Amoia gave up four hits and struck out seven to get the win. Chloe Calhoun belted a home run and a triple, while Carly Vatter had a double and two singles. Sydney Merkley, Jillianne Ervolina and Olivia Amoia each had two hits.

Lindsey Roe, Owyn Guinnip and Sydney Wilson each had a hit.

Hazens 9, Auburn 4: Carly Vatter and Maddie Herbert each had a double, while Chloe Calhoun, Owyn Guinnip, Alexis Bashta and McKenzie Wise each had a hit.
